Hints for Better Digital Photo
For best results set your digital camera one of the higher quality levels especially if you are wanting a 5 x7 or 8 x 10 enlargement. Reprints of 3x5 and 4x6 can be made from most file sizes produced by todays digital cameras. We would strongly suggest you send the original image taken by your camera and not one or two generations of compressed jpg versions. Each time you compress a photo and save it as jpg you loose some quality. Eventually the image deterioates to the point it's not usable.
Also by having our lab print your photos you will not only save time and money on paper and ink but get better photos as a result.
We offer both Glossy and Lustre finishes from either film or digital files
Glossy finish
This fiinsh is often prefered for those who want to see the greatest depth in a photo. Photos such as scenic outdoor photos or photos of objects look best on glossy. If you are looking to show lots of detail, glossy is a good choice. Also some photo contests may require glossy. The drawback to glossy is that the surface tends to show fingerprints and smudges to a much greater degree than other surfaces.
Lustre
This finish is not a "bumby" as the old style Matte paper. It is smoother yet does not show as much glare as glossy and also fingerpints and other smudges are less noticeable. It gives a picture a more professional look and feel. People pictures, portraits, indoor shots, etc. tend to look better on Lustre. Because of the rougher finish this paper does not show the detail and depth seen in glossy.
Canvas
We can print any negative, file, or photo on canvas. All our canvas prints are streched and sprayed with a protective coating. They can be ordered in 11 x 14 and larger sizes.
In addition to canvas we offer some speciaized papers for fine art, for posters and for banners.
